UPDATE: Big Walnut boil order lifted

UPDATE: The boil order in place since Tuesday for Big Walnut Water Corp. customers has been lifted, effective 3 p.m. Thursday.

The water company conducted bacteriological samples following the main break and both samples returned satisfactorily.

Customers of Big Walnut Water Corp. are under a boil order advisory due to a water main break.

It is recommended that all cooking and drinking water be brought to a complete boil for five minutes before using.

Customers should continue to boil all cooking and drinking water until they are notified that it is no longer necessary.

Authorities anticipate the situaton being resolved by Thursday afternoon.
