SAWs looking to help additional clients in 2021

Monday, July 5, 2021

While Servants At Work (SAWs) has been busy helping disabled clients in 2021, the ministry still has opening for more who may need help.

A mission of Greencastle Presbyterian Church, SAWs is in its 13th year of constructing accessible ramps and low-rise steps for the disabled in Putnam County.

This year, organizers would like to provide help to at least 20 recipients.

SAWs is the only organization in Putnam County that offers assistance at no cost to qualified disabled residents who need help accessing their homes.

Without the help of SAWs, many disabled residents are unable to independently get in or out of their homes to go to doctor appointments or the grocery store due to actually being trapped in their homes.

Since starting in 2009, SAWs has helped 218 residents of Putnam County gain freedom from the entrapment of their homes.

Anyone in need or who knows someone in need is invited to call SAWS at 653-5713.
