Russellville Community Center hosting patriotic dinner

RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Community Center will host a patriotic-themed dinner on Sunday, July 11 beginning at 11:30 a.m.

This will be the first dinner the community center has hosted in more than a year.

The menu will consists of sloppy joes, coneys, hot dogs, baked beans, macaroni salad, bags of chips, a variety of desserts, iced tea, lemonade and water.

A free-will donation will be accepted. Profits from the meal will go to the center for expenses and needed improvements on the roof.

Sharon Nichols, a Russellville resident, will be making her first appearance portraying Missy Pearl, who she claims is Minnie Pearl’s cousin. Nichols will start performing at noon and will sing and tell jokes and stories. Missy, to the best of her ability, will be dressed as the original and will tell about her life at Grinder Switch, Tenn.

The community center is located at 300 N. Harrison St., Russellville.
