Vehicle inverts northwest of Greencastle Friday morning

No serious injuries were reported following an incident in which a vehicle was inverted Friday morning.

First responders were called to the incident on County Road 350 North at about 8:25 a.m. They found the vehicle on its side blocking the roadway.

Stephanie Ramos, 34, Lake Charles, La., was going eastbound toward U.S. 231 in a 2005 Ford Focus when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail on a bridge. The car then rolled and came to rest on the driver’s side in the middle of the bridge.

Both Ramos and her passenger were treated and released at the scene.

The Bainbridge and Clinton Township volunteer fire departments and Putnam County EMS assisted Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy Randy Patrick at the scene.

Adams Towing was called to retrieve the vehicle. Units then went back into service at about 9:05 a.m.

Patrick estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.
