Beverly Rose Barnhart

Beverly Rose Barnhart, 86, of Russellville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Brownsburg Health Care.

She was born to Donald Franklin and Mary Louise (Call) Cooper on Feb. 18, 1935 in Greencastle.

She married Robert “Barney” Barnhart in June of 1957. He preceded her in death.

Upon graduating from high school, Beverly then studied music at Indiana University. Beverly was the first woman supervisor at Trans World Airlines and then she worked as a teaching assistant at North Putnam for 27 years.

Beverly was a member of the Russellville Community Church and volunteered in the Russellville Cantata for 18 years. She loved shopping, sports, traveling the world and Christmas time where she enjoyed delivering Christmas Candy and generally making a big deal of the special holiday.

Beverly is survived by her children, Tracy (Gene) Wise, Terri Barnhart and Brock (Kristy) Barnhart; grandchildren, Kaden Cooper Wise, Saylor Rose Barnhart and Dax Robert Barnhart; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Betty Chaney.

Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 17 at Russellville Christian Church, 103 W. 3rd St., Russellville, with Darrell Wiatt officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in Beverly’s memory to the Russellville Community Center, Russellville Community Church or Russellville Christmas Cantata. Envelopes will be provided at the church.
