Diana Sue Baker

Diana Sue (Weaver) Baker, 82, of Cloverdale, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021.

She was a resident of Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.

Diana was born on Aug. 21, 1938 in Martinsville, to the late Ralph and Jennie (Burpo) Weaver.

Diana drove a school bus for several years for Cloverdale School Corporation and also worked in the kitchen at the Greencastle School Corporation.

She married Joseph T. Baker on Oct. 22, 1955, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2014.

Her daughter, Debra Kay (Baker) Conner, also preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2008.

Diana had six brothers and one sister. Survivors include Fred (Loraine) Weaver, Tessie Herndon and Dennis (Rita) Weaver. Her brothers that preceded her in death were Leon (Mary Jane) Weaver, Gene (Barbara) Weaver, Johnnie (Rosalie) Weaver and David (Kathy) Weaver.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicky (Chris) Ewing; her son, Thomas Baker; four grandchildren, Brent (Heather) Conner, Dale (Jesca) Conner, Ashley (Kevin) Barnes, Bailey Johnson and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. with burial following at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greenwood.
