The Little Walnut Creek Conservancy District is offering the public an opportunity to see recent improvements and meet staff and board members.

An open house will take place Saturday, Sept. 4 at the new maintenance building from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

A boat parade will take place at 2 p.m. on the Glenn Flint Lake. The boat parade will start in the area of the boat ramp.

Other activities include breakfast offered by the Clinton Township VFD at the fire station from 7-11 a.m. for a freewill donation. The Hogwild Barbecue trailer will be open for purchases from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

The district would like to remind people that the wooded area is off limits from September 1 through March 1 each year.

Glenn Flint Lake, a 360-acre flood control structure, is a public lake offering fishing and boating.
