Upon his return from service he found his niche in construction, where he worked for various building contractors for several years. His mind was always spinning with construction and remodeling ideas, but found his truest love in millwork where he custom made several items for family and friends.

He was known and loved by many for always having and sharing his opinions whether you wanted to hear them or not. In addition to his earnest love and dedication to being around his family as much as possible, he also enjoyed auctioning, antiquing and visiting the horse track.

Per his request, his ashes are to be spread in the Pacific Ocean from the Naval Base of San Diego.
