PCCF announces upcoming budgeting workshop

The next workshop of the 2021 Putnam-Montgomery Nonprofit Learning Series, “Budgeting for Success,” will be presented by Brittani Bentley on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

The workshop will take place from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. via Zoom and is free for all attendees.

Attendees will discover the tools and practices needed to strengthen an organization’s budgeting process, especially in today’s rapidly changing environment. This interactive workshop will:

• Examine key components of an effective budget.

• Explore the different roles staff and board members playing creating and overseeing a budget.

• Highlight the importance of a work plan and its effect on a budget.

• Discuss how to evaluate a budget throughout the year in order to maintain and improve operations.

Bentley currently serves as the president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Morgan County (CFMC). After 20 years of accounting and finance experience, working in the philanthropic sector is her dream come true. She braids together her passion for people and her heart to serve the community, all while utilizing her financial expertise to manage and guide CFMC’s 191 funds held by local nonprofits.
