• At 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Corbin J. Landrum, 22, Huntington, was westbound on State Road 236 in a 2012 Dodge Ram when he hit a deer.

• At 3:08 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, David K. Welch was turning from westbound U.S. 40 onto southbound State Road 243 in a 1999 Ford Ranger.

The impact spun Welch’s vehicle around, causing it to strike the stopped 2015 Kenworth truck that was stopped northbound on 243, driven by Raymond E. Millikan, 70, Kingman, and registered to Howl Inc. of Veedersburg.

No injuries were sustained, though Welch’s and Zurcher’s vehicles had to be towed.

Ducker estimated damage at $10,000-$25,000.

• At 1:37 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, Chad A. Becker, 42, Indianapolis, was eastbound on State Road 240 in a 2018 Hino truck registered to DS Services of America when a left rear tire ruptured.

The vehicle swerved, causing the truck’s load of water bottles to shift. This tore off one fo the rear doors, spilling water bottles onto the highway.

The truck was towed and the bottles were cleared from the road.

Cpl. Scott Ducker estimated damage at $10,000-$25,000.
