Transformers replaces annual breakfast with week of online giving

Wednesday, September 8, 2021

Transformers of Putnam County will not host its annual “Transforming the Community” breakfast, the organization announced Wednesday morning.

“Due to the ongoing concern of rising COVID numbers in Putnam County and for the health and safety of everyone, we have decided to cancel the in-person Transforming the Community breakfast originally scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 16,” the organization announced via email. “In its place, we are excited to announce the Transformers Online Week of Giving.”

Kicking off Sunday, Sept. 19 and continuing through Sunday, Sept. 26, daily emails as well as postings on Facebook will share the stories of Transformers programs, the lives transformed and opportunities to help.

Those interested may follow Transformers on Facebook at www.facebook.com/transformingfuturesinPutnamCounty.

Transformers is a coalition of people, faith-based communities and agencies in Putnam County that empowers neighbors to transform from poverty to self-sufficiency.

The four current programs within Transformers include Circles, Kids Hope U.S.A., Talks mentoring and Pay It Forward.
