DeVoe, Robinson highlight Rib and Blues Festival lineup
ROACHDALE — After canceling in 2020, the Roachdale Revitalization Cooperative Alliance will host the seventh-annual Roachdale Rib & Blues Festival on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Among the five acts performing will be Putnam County’s own Tad Robinson with special guest Gordon Bonham, as well as headliner Jennie DeVoe.
Gates will open at noon, and music will begin at 2 p.m.
“We are keeping this a free event for our attendees this year, but we would appreciate donations to sustain the festival and to fund our tree planting and town park improvement projects”, RRCA President Joe Buser said. “Our mission is to keep everyone as safe as possible this year, so if you’re not feeling well, please wait and attend next year. We will have sanitizing stations available provided by the Putnam County Hospital.”
The musicians will be a mix of local and regional acts, beginning with The Fret Set at 2 p.m., followed by Robinson and Bonham at 3 p.m.
Black Market Vinyl will take the stage at 5 p.m., followed by Dave Morgan and Al Stratyner at 7 p.m.
Finally, DeVoe will bring the evening to a close with a set starting at 8 p.m.
Beer will be sold by Big Lug Brewing and wine by Blackhawk Winery.
Food vendors include Hatchet House BBQ, Wally’s Food Truck, Delta Theta Tau and Off The Rails Catering.
Sponsors of this years festival include Putnam County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tri-County Bank & Trust, Hoosier Heartland State Bank, Co-Alliance, Spear Corporation, Wireman Funeral Services, Rustic Country Charm, RRCA, Quality Shirts and More and the Town of Roachdale.
