Claude M. Thompson

Claude M. Thompson, 86, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, in his residence.

Born Jan. 11, 1935 in Fillmore, he was the son of Grover Stephen Thompson and Nellie Mae (Cline) Thompson.

He married Shirley Ann Coffey and she survives.

Claude was a graduate of Fillmore High School class of 1954. He worked at Greencastle Manufacturing for 25 years in maintenance, tool and dye setter and built bridges. He could fix anything.

He was a member of the Soul Harvest Church in Cloverdale. He loved his family and his Lord most of all.

In addition to his wife, survivors include five children, Debbie Cooksey (Mark) of Brazil, Danny Thompson (Debra) of Greencastle, Stephen Thompson of Fillmore, Bobby Thompson (Tara) of Clayton and Matthew Thompson (Nicki) of Coatesville; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

His parents, daughter Brenda Thompson and a great-granddaughter preceded him.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville. Services will be at 1 p.m. with Pastor Matt Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
