Moore’s hosting 5K run, trunk-or-treat Oct. 23

Moore’s Bar and Grill will host its first Haunted Halloween 5K and Monster Mile on Saturday, Oct. 23.

Those interested may sign up online at https://hauntedhalloween5k.itsyourrace.com/.

Registration will be held from 4-5:30 p.m., with a pre-race ceremony being held before the Monster Mile begins at 5:40 p.m. The 5K will be under way by 6 p.m. An awards ceremony will then take place at 7 p.m.

A trunk-or-treat will also be held from 4-6 p.m., with a costume contest rounding out the event at 7:15 p.m.

All 5K participants can receive a Haunted Halloween 5K T-shirt, a custom bib, disposable chip timing, post-race overall and age group awards and entry into all Moore’s post-race party and Halloween activities. All Monster Mile participants can also receive a custom bib and disposable chip timing, as well as a Haunted Halloween goodie bag and access to the trunk-or-treat and a children’s area.

Participants must register by Sunday, Oct. 3 to have their custom bib, and by Sunday, Oct. 17 to be guaranteed a shirt.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Mackenzie Meyer Scholarship Fund at Greencastle High School.
