May Phang to give piano recital at Music on the Square

DePauw University’s May Phang invites the community to a piano recital she will perform on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Music on the Square, Greencastle.

The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.

The first in a series, “Summer Idylls” will feature music by Dett, Tan, Luo, Pann and more, including a world premiere.

“With the school year in high gear and shorter days and cooler months ahead, “Summer Idylls” will feature compositions reminiscent of warm, lazy summers,” Phang said. “Enjoy the fragrance of summer blossoms and a trip to Indonesia, but don’t forget the fly swatter.”

The other recitals in the series are set for Sunday, Nov. 14, Saturday, Feb. 5 and Friday, April 8.
