Meyer collects 1,000th dig at Marian; Trigg off the mark at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods

Two former Greencastle High School standouts have continued to influence their teams at the collegiate level this fall.

Marian University DS Maggie Meyer recently recorded her 1,000th dig in the No. 8 Knights’ 25-20, 25-22, 25-20 win over No. 22 Bethel.

Meyer, a senior, has 271 digs in 18 contests for Marian, which has yet to drop a match this season and currently leads the Crossroads League at 10-0 in conference play.

Kennedy Trigg, a forward at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, took her goal-scoring boots with her, recording 13 goals through the first eight matches of the season for the Pomeroys, hitting a hat trick against Iowa Wesleyan in a 5-0 win Sunday.
