Dewayne W. Wilson

Dewayne W. Wilson, 78, of Greencastle, passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 in the Hendricks Regional Hospital.

Born Nov. 13, 1942 in Indianapolis, he was the son of William Lester Wilson and Mable (Lycan) Wilson.

He married Julie Friend, and she survives.

Dewayne had worked for 34 years as a mechanic for Indy Public Transportation. He later worked 10 years for CC Cook and Son as a laborer.

His hobbies included fishing, being outdoors, mowing, yard work, making furniture and other things. But most of all being with family.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Tina Guernsey and husband Rick, Coatesville; a son, Kevin Wilson and wife Jodi, Martinsville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

His parents, sister, June Land, and brother Norman Lee Wilson preceded him in death.
