County Jail

Fourteen people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 12:47 p.m. Aysia R. Dawson, 25, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for driving with a suspended license.

Tuesday

• At 10:05 p.m. Kyle A. Hendrick, 25, Crawfordsville, was taken into custody for theft and domestic battery.

• At 4:37 Heather L. Book, 35, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 2:55 p.m. Amanda S. Jones, 49, Cloverdale, was booked in on a warrant.

• At 2:09 p.m. Shonna L. Harris, 42, Terre Haute, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

• At 2:09 p.m. Norman E. Taylor, 52, Centerpoint, was taken into custody on a warrant.

• At 1:46 p.m. Larry L. Watters, 36, Terre Haute, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

• At 1:16 p.m. Howard E. Smith, 43, Indianapolis, was booked in for theft.

• At 1:11 p.m. Danielle M. Whitney, 34, Terre Haute, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 11:13 p.m. Richard L. Wood, 59, Roachdale, was taken into custody for domestic battery.

• At 8:43 p.m. Kyle P. Babington, 36, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

• At 7 p.m. David M. Maldonado, 39, Cloverdale, was booked in for possession of a controlled substance.

• At 6:42 p.m. Allen L. Kennedy, 58, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine and criminal trespass.

• At 4:02 p.m. Ebony L. Hendrickson, 21, Fillmore, was taken into custody for criminal trespass, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle and resisting law enforcement.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 12:09 a.m. Wednesday, Anthony Ezman IV, 19, Coatesville, was arrested by Capt. Charles Inman.

Taken into custody at a Castlebury residence, Ezman was arrested on a Putnam County warrant for violation of probation and petition to revoke a suspended sentence on an escape charge. He was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

• At 10 a.m. Wednesday, Andre Giden, 44, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Darrel Bunten.

Taken into custody on East Washington Street, Giden was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a Putnam County warrant for invasion of privacy.

Four recent citations were issued by city officers.

• At 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Christopher Smith, 29, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Bunten.

Stopped on East Franklin Street, Smith was ticketed for walking in the street where there is sidewalk availability. Police said he had previously been warned of walking in such a manner.

• At 12:21 a.m. Saturday, Margaret Behr, 22, Indianapolis, was ticketed for speeding by Reserve Officer Dustin Martin.

Stopped on Bloomington Street, Behr was cited for 45 mph in a 30-mph zone.

• At 3:25 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, Kyle Fenton, 29, Rockville, was ticketed by Officer Alec Pettit.

Stropped on Indianapolis Road, Fenton was cited for driving with a suspended license.

• At 11:39 p.m. Sept. 23, Jazmin Austin, 31, Indianapolis, was cited by Reserve Officer David Clodfelter.

Stopped on Judson Drive, Austin was ticketed for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

Sheriff’s Office

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 7:23 p.m. on Monday, Rachel M. Alexander, 41, Coatesville, was westbound on County Road 600 North in a 2017 GMC Acadia when she hit a deer.

Deputy Randy Patrick estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently performed two medical assists.
