Mary Vanetta Tucker

Mary Vanetta Tucker, 79, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mary was born in Greencastle on Jan. 21, 1942, the daughter of Donald and Ella (Murphy) Jones.

She attended Greencastle High School.

Mrs. Tucker worked for more 30 years as a nurses aide until her retirement from Sunset Manor.

Survivors include her five children, Kathy Baker, Ed Jones, James Tucker (Nora), Joe Tucker (Sheri) and Lisa Collins (Stephen); three brothers, Robert W. Jones, Kenny Jones and Richard Jones; a sister, Mildred Watts; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Fred William Tucker; two brothers, Buddy R. and Donald E. Jones; and a sister, Betty J Jones.

At her request there will be no services or visitation, and a cremation will take place at a later date.
