IHSAA Football Sectional Draws

The IHSAA Football Sectional draw took place Sunday with the four Putnam County schools now knowing where they will begin their postseason play.

There is one rematch in the group as Cloverdale will host Riverton Parke in Class A Sectional No. 45. The Panthers defeated the Clovers 61-7 in the first meeting this season. The winner faces the winner of Fountain Central and Covington.

Greencastle is the only road team to start Class 3A Sectional No. 29 play, traveling to No. 4 Danville. The winner faces the winner of Indian Creek and Indianapolis Washington.

North Putnam hosts former WCC member No. 12 Monrovia in Class 2A Sectional No. 37. The winner faces the winner of Speedway and Seeger.

No. 5 South Putnam’s defense of its Class A Sectional No. 45 title beings against North Vermillion. The winner faces the winner of Parke Heritage and Attica. If the Wolves and Eagles win, it would set up a rematch of last year’s final, one South Putnam won 43-40.
