Residents urged to take part in Putnam County Park Board community survey

Thursday, October 14, 2021

The Putnam County Park Board wants the public’s insights as it creates a five-year parks master plan.

The Putnam County Park Board was created in July by action of the Putnam County Council to oversee the county’s 18 miles of People Pathways, which the county acquired earlier in the year.

To be eligible for DNR grants for People Pathways and any future park development it might undertake, the county must have a park board in place as well as a five-year plan.

Board members have also been appointed — Allison Leer of Greencastle, Holly Cook of Roachdale, Ben Fox of Reelsville, Greg Williams of Cloverdale and Darrell Wiatt of Russellville.
