Buddy Spires, age 86, of Heritage Lake, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021.
Buddy was born Sept. 26, 1935 in Lincolnton, Ga., the son of Horace and Lillian (Glaze) Spires.
He was a Navy veteran.
He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus in 1990.
Buddy was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly (Thompson) Spires; two sons, Bradley (Cheryl) and Jeff; grandson Greg (Morgan); step-grandson Lee Hensley; and three great-grandsons, Trey Spires and Colton and Gunnar Hensley.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and sister Dolores Glisson.
At Buddy’s request, there will be a family celebration of life.
