Daniel A. Cox, 77, of Fillmore, went to meet the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of Ralph Cox and Josephine (McGinty) Cox.

He married Sara (King) Cox in 1964 and she survives.

He graduated from Fillmore High School in 1962. Daniel was employed as a quality control representative at Navistar for 41-and-a-half years, retiring in 2004.

Mr. Cox was a member of Fillmore Methodist Church and Friendly Squares for many years.

After retirement, he and his wife spent their winters in Florida.

Additional survivors include his son, Randy Cox (wife Juleena) of Fillmore; his daughter, Candace Williams (husband Sam) of Bloomington; mother-in-law Ruth King of Bluffton; five grandchildren, Tyler Cox, (wife Tiffany) of Greencastle, Tiffani O’Hair of Fillmore, Tessa Cox (fiancé Shawn Sullivan) of Mt. Meridian, Brandon Buis (wife Jamie) of Indianapolis and Devin Kidwell of Bloomington; six great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Dr. Leonard King (wife Marjorie) of Fort Wayne; brother Jerry Cox (wife Pat) of Mt. Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Cox; and his father-in-law, Rev. Norris King.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29 for family and friends at Stilesville Cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will take place at Fillmore Methodist Church.
