LIMEDALE — A Brazil woman and two juveniles were taken into custody following a road rage incident on Manhattan Road Friday evening.

At about 5 p.m., police received a report for a motor vehicle crash at the intersection with County Road 525 South. It was reported at this time that a physical altercation was taking place following the crash.

Megan Braun, 21, Greencastle, told Cpl. Scott Ducker that she was driving slowly on gravel roads and was being tailgated by another motorist, Christina Parker, 37, Brazil. Obscenities were then exchanged between occupants in both vehicles.

It was reported that Parker drove in front of Braun’s vehicle, stopped and then exited hers. Parker then brandished a small baseball bat and waived it with the intent of striking Braun’s vehicle. Braun continued on while Parker closely followed her.

Braun and Parker then collided at the intersection with County Road 550 North. Both, as well as two juveniles with Parker, exited their vehicles, after which the trio assaulted Braun. Ducker reported that one of the juveniles struck Braun in the head with the baseball bat. The suspected bat was later found in a nearby field.

Parker was arrested on charges of Class B misdemeanor battery, Class B misdemeanor disorderly conduct and Class A misdemeanor intimidation. Ducker reported that charges of felony child neglect would also be filed. Parker later bonded out.

Meanwhile, the juvenile who struck Braun was taken into custody and transferred to a juvenile correctional facility. The other involved was referred to juvenile probation.

Braun was transported to Putnam County Hospital for her injuries.

  • Moments like these are when the second amendment to the constitution of the United States can be put to effective use.

  • Obviously, they are all idiots.

  • Tech, I’m not sure shooting a deranged juvenile is the best idea here. I say that being someone who has a concealed carry permit and utilizes that right everyday. Something to ponder…

  • Koios: Being attacked with a baseball bat isn't enough to protect your life by shooting them?

  • Togafarm and Jaxks, did the Capital Police shoot the people who beat them with flag poles, bats, and stolen police shields on January 6? Overwhelmingly, no. Yes, Ashley Babbitt did get shot and killed, she also was attempting to crawl through a breached window in the US Capital, where LEO were trying to protect there position. Shoot first is not the best decision. Hence my post above.

I back the blue, I don’t beat them poles with back the blue flags flying on them.

  • I don’t think the 21 year old is innocent one either. Have seen it before. Married man steps out on wife and gets caught. Wife goes after other women. Cat fight ensues! Wife goes to the pokey! To bad for these young ladies. I hope that they can get some needed help!

  • locale; do you have inside information? I mean I see nothing about this being a love triangle. Why couldn't it simply be road rage. My granddaughter and I went for a country drive on the less traveled roads. We came upon a truck (with two in the bed of the truck) driving about 10 mph , we followed until I had a completely safe chance to pass- I passed very carefully but these people went berserk. The ones in the bed of the truck were beating on the cab , yelling and cussing. The old lady driving started following close and honking the horn. -- to sum this up there are people out there that a feather landing on their vehicle will set them off.
