Putnam County yard waste site closing Oct. 30

The Putnam County yard waste drop-off site, located at 2363 S. CR 250 West, Greencastle (past the County Highway and Jim Baugh Firing Range), will be closing for the season on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Residents of Putnam and Parke counties are urged to take advantage of the warm weather to clean up yard trimmings and debris before the site closes for the year. The site is open Wednesday from noon-6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The site will reopen on April 2, 2022.

Residents can call West Central Solid Waste District with specific questions at 653-2150. Businesses and contractors are prohibited from using the site.
