DePauw University Ullem Campus Farm

The third-annual DePauw Harvest Festival at Ullem Campus Farm is set for Saturday, Oct. 30.

The DePauw Office of Sustainability is partnering with local craft and food vendors to bring campus and community together at the Ullem Campus Farm, 1138 W. Walnut St.

Attendees can participate in a guided DePauw Nature Park hike at noon before enjoying the outdoor Harvest Festival from 1-4 p.m. Fall-themed activities for all ages will be offered for free, with vendors selling a variety of goods.

Parking at the farm is limited, so guests are encouraged to park in a campus lot and take a walking path to the festival. Admission to this event is free.

Since 2018, the DePauw Harvest Festival has served as a way for families and students to welcome the coming of fall and reap the benefits of the Ullem Campus Farm. Office of Sustainability staff members are thrilled to bring this annual event back after an unexpected pause in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to this event’s overlap with a home football game, attendees are encouraged to park at a campus lot and take a walking route to the farm, located behind the DePauw Track and Tennis Center (map below).

A few features of the event include a live performance from Gus Moon, lawn games, vendors to shop from, spooky crafts and an abundance of food such as Black Leaf Vegan food truck, locally sourced hot cider and chili made from DePauw’s farm produce. The acceptance of cash/card payments is at the discretion of each individual vendor.

RSVP on Facebook, Campus Labs or simply show up for the fun.

The DePauw Office of Sustainability and Ullem Campus Farm invite students and community members to engage with hands-on sustainability and agricultural initiatives. The 12-acre property offers opportunities for education, food production and community engagement for DePauw and Greencastle.
