Hunt for the Great Pumpkin set for Oct. 30
The Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department will stage the Hunt for the Great Pumpkin Saturday, Oct. 30 for youngsters in grades 3-5.
Organizers are putting a “frightful twist” on their annual Easter egg activity, hiding 3,000 Halloween-colored eggs within Robe-Ann Park, where youngsters will hunt them with flashlights.
Fee for the event is $10 per person. Registration is set for 6:30 p.m. at Shelterhouse No. 1 on the hill overlooking the bandshell.
Participants can win a Hoverboard, Lego sets, McDonald’s prizes and more. Special redemption tickets within the eggs can be redeemed for prizes.
