Greencastle Christmas Market set Saturday

Monday, November 1, 2021

A new Greencastle Christmas Market is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

Slated for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Community Building, the event has been organized by Tammy Branham, who said she chose to do the show because after about 40 years, the Purdue Homemakers Extension have decided to stop hosting their annual craft event.

“This was a big hit to local artisans in the area that counted on this event for their businesses,” Branham told the Banner Graphic.

This year 45 vendors are expected for Saturday, offering a variety of items, including handmade soaps, wreaths, book art, wood signs and jewelry to name a few.

Wally’s Food Trailer will be serving its pork barbecue, while a caramel corn/kettle corn maker is also expected to be on hand.

“My hope is to build on this first year and to make this event better and better every year,” Branham said in inviting everyone to attend.
