The Butler Did It

North Putnam Thespian Society members (from left) Tucker Elmore, Cameron Johnson, Torie Smith, Ruby Sullivan, Hannah Clodfelter, Gracie Gasper and Jakob Seger prepare to present their fally play, “The Butler Did It” by Tim Kelly, this weekend, Friday, Nov. 12 and Saturday, Nov. 13 with curtain at 7 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. “The Butler Did It” is a comedic murder mystery that begins with a weekend house party thrown by Miss Maple (Clodfetler) with the assistance of her social secretary Rita Eylesbarrow (Shelby Hilton) and her housekeeper Haversham (Sullivan). Her guest list is comprised of famous mystery writes attending as their literary counter parts, Father White (Johnson), Chandler Marlowe (Elmore), Louie Fan (Seger), Rick and Laura Carlyle (Dean Lepine and Gasper), Peter Flimsey (Ethan Lawler) and Charity Haze (Smith). The weekend turns dark as a storm traps them on the island and a murderer lurks about. Joining the cast are the crew of the show, stage manager Breanna Richardson, stage crew Bryce Johnson and running lights and sound Kylie Gilliam. The public is invited this weekend for twists and turns and some laughs along the way.
