County Jail

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• Sarah A. Patterson, 65, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

• At 5:52 p.m. Kevin E. Smith, 51, Bainbridge, was taken into custody for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

• At 3:8 a.m. Anthony D. Jeerson, 38, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for carrying a handgun without a license, possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction.

• At 12:42 a.m. Jeffery C. Cummings, 33, Reelsville, was booked in for battery, driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction and on a Vigo County warrant.

Saturday

• At 3:26 p.m. Shawn M. Legg, 51, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 2:31 p.m. Matthew C. Terry, 18, Fillmore, was taken into custody for auto theft.

• At 2:24 a.m. Josiah D. Watson, 22, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

Thursday

• A 11:38 p.m. Curtis D. App, 24, Greencastle, was booked in for driving while intoxicated.

• At 5:55 a.m. Jacob L. Dean, 34, Brazil, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

Wednesday

• At 9:30 p.m. James L. Ellis, 31, Coatesville, was taken into custody for invasion of privacy, possession of marijuana and on two out-of-county warrants.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one recent incident:

• At 6:17 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 1900 Windemere Dr. for a tree into a power line. Firefighters arrived at 6:29 and Duke Energy was contacted. GFD went back into service at 6:51 p.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed 14 medical assists.
