PCCF accepting scholarship applications

Monday, November 15, 2021

The Putnam County Community Foundation has announced the availability of more than $300,000 in scholarship funding for the 2022-23 academic year.

Once again, the application process is entirely electronic, and students can access the online application by visiting the Community Foundation’s website at www.pcfoundation.org.

The Putnam County Community Foundation administers more than 40 scholarships. There are scholarships for colleges, universities and trade schools. In addition, there are opportunities for incoming first-year students and upperclassmen.

The Community Foundation’s website provides a comprehensive list of all available scholarships and the eligibility criteria for each.

“There are many opportunities for scholarships at the Community Foundation,” Community Development Director Dean Gambill said. “Between the Common Application and the local Dollars for Scholars chapter applications, students can apply for upwards of 50 separate scholarships by filling out just two applications.”

Students are encouraged to visit their high school guidance office for assistance with completing the scholarship application. To be considered for scholarships using the Community Foundation’s application, students must apply by 5 p.m. on Jan. 21.
