Daniel Grundlock has joined the Wabash College athletics staff as the assistant director for facilities, equipment, and game operations.

A South Putnam graduate and 2020 graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in sport management, Grundlock comes to Wabash after working at the Richard A. Carlucci Recreation and Aquatic Center in Plainfield.

He previously worked as an intern at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and was a rehabilitation aide with Athletico Physical Therapy in Greencastle.

“Daniel brings a solid foundation of experiences in sport and recreation to Wabash, and his efforts in game operations, equipment, and facilities elevate the experience of our scholar-athletes. He’s a welcome addition to the department,” Wabash Director of Athletics and Campus Wellness Matt Tanney said.

Grundlock is a certified lifeguard as well as earning workplace professional skills certification through Indiana State University. He assisted with ticket sales for the Indiana Pacers during the 2019-2020 season and served as a merchandising volunteer at the 2019 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

“Being able to join the staff at Wabash is truly an amazing feeling,” Grundlock said. “I am excited to be able to be a part of this college that has such rich history and traditions. I am also eager to be able to work with all of the athletic programs at Wabash, and I look forward to being able to connect with everyone from the staff, coaches, players, and students. My love and passion for sports runs deep and I cannot wait to continue my journey here at Wabash.”

Grundlock started at Wabash on November 11.
