To the Editor:

We at Mental Health America of Putnam County would like to take this opportunity to thank our community for its support and participation in the Mind Your Health 5K Run/Walk held Oct. 9.

What better way to celebrate the mind-body connection while raising funds for mental health awareness? With perfect weather, both runners and walkers enjoyed the sunny morning outdoors on the People Pathways Vandalia Trail, just adjacent to Area 30 Career Center.

A special shout-out to our sponsors, the Roachdale Volunteer Fire Department and Hendershot’s Service Center. Cummins Behavioral Health had a table of information, as did MHAoPC with our Tools2Thrive and overview of all our programs within Putnam County.

We sincerely thank our volunteers who helped plan and lent a hand the day of the run, and of course to all participants. All these contributing groups shared their time and support which enables us to provide quality programs in Putnam County. We thank them all for helping us to help others.
