Ronald Milburn and “Bobby”

Former Greencastle resident and author Ronald Milburn has published a new children’s book about his pet squirrel.

“Bobby and Friends” is a collection of short stories about Robert T. “Bobby” Squirrel, a squirrel Milburn raised from a newborn and released into an oak tree in his backyard. There is also a coloring book companion.

“Bobby” has become a TikTok sensation with over 20 million views and almost 300,000 followers. This popularity inspired Milburn to publish his first children’s book about “Bobby.”

Milburn and Bobby were recently featured on the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” podcast with Amy Newmark about a short story in her book “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Navigating Eldercare and Dementia.”

“For over half of the interview we talked about Bobby,” Milburn said. “I was upstaged by a squirrel.”

“Bobby and Friends” and the coloring book are available on Amazon. Audiobooks narrated by Milburn are also available through Audible and iTunes.

Milburn is also the author of “Riddles: The Hunt for Dillinger’s Loot,” “What a Pickle, Mr. Dill” and “A Trip Down No-Memory Lane: Dealing with a Loved-One with Alzheimer’s Disease.”
