Seventh-ranked Tigers Roll to Second NCAC Win

Seventh-ranked DePauw never trailed on the way to an 87-47 North Coast Athletic Conference win at Wooster. The Tigers improved to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the NCAC, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 1-7 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Wooster was still within seven at 27-20 with three minutes left in the second period, but the Tigers closed the first half with an 8-2 run and opened the third quarter with a 15-2 stretch to expand the lead to 26 and put the game away.

Maeve Summerville led five DePauw double-figure scorers and matched a career-high with 14 points, while Moira McGinley added 11 points and four steals. Grace Kinsey, Mya Shannon and Ainsley Boras each scored 10 in the win. Lydia Stullken grabbed six rebounds and blocked three shots with Maura Fitzgerald dishing out seven assists.

Jenna Stanton scored 10 for Wooster and hauled down nine rebounds.

DePauw shot 48.5 percent for the game including 58.8 percent in the second half. The Fighting Scots shot 28.6 percent from the floor. DePauw held a 46-33 rebounding edge and outscored Wooster in the paint, 48-14.

The Tigers host Wittenberg on Wednesday, December 8, at 7 p.m.
