Pets Healing Vets

American Legion Post 58 recently hosted a fundraiser that raised $3,500 for Pets Healing Vets, a program of the Humane Society of Hamilton County that pairs military veterans with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries with shelter dogs and cats. Displaying a check are (from left) Post 58 Finance Officer Tim Williams, event coordinator Tonya Hurst, Humane Society Community Outreach Manager Jennifer Hatcher, Commander Rod Gaffney and veteran Scott Vannatter with his dog Sadie V Doggo. The goal is to make the event an annual one. Donors include the following: Mason Jewelers; The Sterling Butterfly; Dirty Hairy Pet Salon; York Chevrolet; Putnam County Hospital; T&T Nails; Mt.
