Chamber annual dinner postponed until March 12

Friday, January 21, 2022

Originally set for Saturday, Jan. 29, the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce annual dinner has been postponed to Saturday, March 12.

The Chamber made the announcement Friday, citing the current local COVID-19 positivity rate.

New invitations were issued to all those who had RSVP’d, with their place at the dinner still held.

The event will take place at Tiger Pointe Country Club, 37 N. U.S. 231, Greencastle. Clubhouse cocktails begin at 6 p.m., with dinner teeing off at 7.

Dress is either business attire or golf attire. Prizes will be given for the best golf wear.

Aside from a look back at 2021 and a look toward the rest of 2022, the event will also featuring the naming of the 2021 Citizen of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year and Non-Profit of the Year.

It should also be an opportunity to meet the new director of the Chamber, with Brian Cox recently announcing his plans to step away from the post.

Anyone who would like to place a new RSVP may do so by emailing chamber@goputco.com. Cost is $45 per person.

Anyone with questions may call the Chamber at 653-4517.
