Dona Michelle (Marlow) Mitchell

Dona Mitchell, 54, of Cloverdale, went home to heaven on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 at home, surrounded by her husband, kids and grandson.

Dona was born in Louisville, Ky., on Sept. 6, 1967 to David and Rose Ann Marlow.

Dona was the loving wife of David Mitchell and loving mother to Erin and Jesse Mitchell. Dona’s grandson Jaxson (Erin’s) was the light of her life and her pride and joy. He made her final day brighter.

Dona has three surviving siblings, two sisters (Dawn and Debbie) and a brother (David).

Dona and Dave were married in Indianapolis on May 4, 2002.

Dona was a hard worker at the Ascena warehouse in Greencastle. Dona loved spending time with her family, especially Jaxson.

Dona graduated in 1987 from Iroquois High School in Louisville.

Dona enjoyed reading and painting. She also loved spending time with friends. Dona was a big Alabama and Bon Jovi fan. She loved to vacation in Gatlinburg.

After a three-year battle with colorectal cancer, Dona was welcomed home by her Memaw, her mother and her mother- and father-in-law (Carol and James Mitchell).

Her services will be held on Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of which she was a member in Greencastle.

There will be no burial. Cremation was handled by Samaritan Funeral Home in Terre Haute.
