Lowell Charles Snapp

Lowell Charles Snapp, 90, of Roanoke, formally of Brazil, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at his residence.

Lowell was born in Coatesville on Nov. 13, 1931, the son of David McKinley and Mini (Walton) Snapp.

Mr. Snapp attended Garrard Chapel in Bowling Green for many years. He worked for General Motors at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis for 25 years until his retirement.

Survivors include his two sons, Mike Snapp (Joann) and Jeff Snapp (Laura); a brother, Harold Snapp; a sister, Sandra; five grandchildren, Jennifer Ringleb, Melissa Snapp, Jeff Snapp Jr. (Mariah), April Merriman (Justin) and Brittany Ramero; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Vera Snapp; two brothers, Kenny and Bob Snapp; and two sisters, Mae Smith and Ruby Duncan.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
