Henry “Rooster” Cady, 67, of Cloverdale, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville.

He was born on Jan. 22, 1955 in Cranston, R.I.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr. and Martha Cady, also from Rhode Island.

Henry is survived by his son, Robert Cady and spouse, and his daughter, Sabrina, and five grandchildren from his first marriage. Henry is also survived by his wife of 20 years, Yvonne Cady and their daughter, Amanda Cady, and two bonus children, Danielle Shepherd and Amber McGarr, Danielle’s husband Dwayne and son Trenton and Amber’s husband and two children.

As a teenager, Henry worked in construction with his dad operating heavy equipment and driving trucks. Henry also served proudly in the U.S. Army. In California, Henry operated a landscaping business. While living in Terre Haute, he raised show horses and rode them in competition.

Henry drove trucks for a living for most of his life. For the last 30 years he drove dump trucks — they were his passion. For five years, he had his own dump truck hauling business, Lone Wolf Trucking, that he was so proud of.

Henry was a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend he will be sorely missed. He thought of his bosses and coworkers as family.

Henry loved spending time with his family, fishing, canoeing, talking and telling stories and making people laugh. He was the kind of person that would help, anyone even strangers.

There will be a service and celebration of life for Henry to be held by his family in the near future. Announcements will be given by the family.
