CATARACT – Firefighters from the Cloverdale Township and Reelsville volunteer fire departments were out late Wednesday evening for a large house fire in northern Owen County.

Cloverdale Fire was dispatched around 10:15 p.m. for a structure fire at 4801 Wilson Village Rd. in the area of Richard Lieber State Park. While they had command and arrived with an engine, firefighters from the Cataract Volunteer Fire Department were also scrambled. The Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department arrived with a tanker after the blaze was knocked down.

The high wind moving through the area at the time was a concern as the home was fully involved.

It is unclear when the fire was considered under control, when fire crews went back into service and what the overall damages are.

The Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Department covered Cloverdale Fire’s station during the incident.

No injuries to either the residents or emergency personnel have been reported.
