James Lee Scott

James Lee Scott, 76, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Born March 12, 1945 in Clinton, he was the son of James Scott and Vera (Ellis) Scott Dixon.

He was a graduate of West Vigo High School. He married Lana (Fehrmann) Scott on August 6, 1966.

Jim was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy.

He worked more than 31 years at GTE, retiring as a facility maintainer. After his retirement he worked 14 years at Endeavor in Cloverdale.

Jim was a member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, Avon, and had formerly attended Peace Lutheran Church, Greencastle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Twyla Antrim and infants Betty Ann and Sandra Darlene Scott and brother Richard Scott.

Jim was a loving, caring husband, dad and Papa. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lana Scott; daughter Terri Scott; grandchildren Kaitlin (Nick) Tuminella and Kylee Scott; great-grandchildren Colton and Nicky Tuminella; a son, Michael B. (Melissa) Scott; grandchildren Jennifer, Allison and Kelly Scott; and sister Bonnie (Walter) Scott Wright.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
