Benjamin G. Arnold

Benjamin G. Arnold, 79, of Cloverdale, passed away on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022 surrounded by family.

He was born Oct. 3, 1942 to the late Leland and Florence (Ware) Arnold.

Ben married Barbara J. (Evans) Arnold, and she preceded him in death Feb. 6, 2016. Ben was also preceded in death by his sister, Glenna Stapert.

He is survived by his brother, Bill (Patsy) Arnold; his children, Greg (Francie) Arnold, Sherry (Mitchell) Greene, Juanita (Dale) Smith, Julie (Frank) Quinio, Joy Gray and Jeff Jones; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ben retired from Allison Transmissions. He then drove a school bus for Cloverdale Community Schools. In Ben’s free time he loved being with his family, golfing, bowling, taking trips into town and to Lieber State Park and selling campfire wood from his home. His greatest enjoyment was the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Ben will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25 at Mannan Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 1:45 p.m. Friday Feb. 25 at Whitaker Funeral Home.
