Ruth Ann Williams

Ruth Ann Williams, 65, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, at her residence.

Ruth was born in Greencastle on Nov. 3, 1956, the daughter of Elmer Lee, and Clonia Capps.

Mrs. Williams worked for Putnam County Comprehensive Services for 18 years.

Survivors include her three children, Michael Lee O’Conner (Jamie), Joseph Michael O’Conner (Jessica) and Melissa Lynn Finley (Patrick); two sisters, Judy York and Ersia Houser; four brothers, Raymond Capps (Cathy), Evie Capps (Kathy), Edward Capps (Mable) and Dale Capps; three grandchildren, Cody O’Conner, Patrick Finley Jr. and Samantha Finley; a great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Tyndall; a life-long companion, Jeff Mize, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Tony Finley; three brothers, Junior, Johnny and Robert Capps; four sisters, Versa Capps, Martha Davis, Venny Sexton and Annie Strauser; and an infant brother.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
