William W. Cummings

William W. Cummings, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022.

He was born Dec. 1, 1938 to the late Jesse and Omadean (Hart) Cummings.

William married Sharon A. Cummings on Jan. 26, 1968 and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Sharon Cummings, he is also survived by his sons, David (Kim) Cummings of Mooresville, Ricky (Diana) Cummings of Indianapolis and Gregory (Jennie) Cummings of Mooresville; daughters Angela Meyers of Indianapolis and Kimberly Thorsen of Whitestown; siblings Howard (June) Cummings, Deloris Bowman, Florence Dunkin, Judy (Harold) Whitaker, Sherrie Sandy, Stanley (Bev) Cummings and Linda Sample; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his stepsons, Robert Risk and Steven Risk; grandson Justin Meyers; brothers Richard Cummings, Robert Cummings, Rex Cummings, Donald Cummings and Ronald Cummings; and sisters Betty Barnes and Patty Coons.

Funeral services for William will be held at noon on Friday, March 4 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 3 at the funeral home.
