Betty Lucille Walton

Betty Lucille Walton, 86, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 at Mill Pond Health Campus.

Betty was born in Tell City on Oct. 14, 1935, the daughter of Maurice and Pearl (Peckinpaugh) Elder.

She was a graduate of Tell City High School.

Mrs. Walton was a bookkeeper for many years working with 3D Auto Supply and IBM Credit Union. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Greencastle.

Survivors include her two daughters, Pam Proctor (husband Rick) and Stephanie Richardson (husband John); four grandchildren, Derek Richardson (wife Julie), Cory Proctor (wife Morgan), Nicole Vanatti (husband Aaron) and Dana Logan (husband Craig); seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon Walton; and three brothers, Harold, Bernard and Bob Elder.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 3 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Anderson officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service on Thursday.
