David Aaron Sparks

David Aaron Sparks, 72, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Born April 28, 1949 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Elbert Leroy and Delores May (Acton) Sparks.

David was a musician, having sang and played guitar in the 3rd Shift and Fancy Free bands. He had also worked in real estate buying and selling homes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Edsel, Alan, Leon, Wayne and Mark Sparks; and a grandson, Bryson David Gunther Sparks.

David is survived by his wife, Dennise (Russell) Sparks; sons Aaron Wayne Sparks and wife Tabby and Eric Anthony Sparks and wife Stacy; brother Karl Sparks and wife Bonnie; grandchildren Christopher James, Aaron Michael, Daniel Ray, Bryar Arabella, Shawn Dale and Aaron Daniel; and great-granddaughter Gracelynn.

The family will receive friends to celebrate David’s life on Tuesday, March 15 from 4- 8 p.m. at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
