Kindergarten round-up dates set at GCSC

Greencastle Community School Corporation kindergarten round-up dates will be April 12 and Thursday, April 14 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at both Ridpath and Deer Meadow primary schools.

Unlike years past, round-up will take place at both schools on both days.

These sessions are only for incoming kindergarten students. To be eligible for kindergarten, children must be five years old on or before Aug. 1. Parents should enroll their children at the appropriate school for the area in which they reside. Anyone who is uncertain about which school their child will attend may call either school for assistance.

Parents need to bring the following with them: Your child, a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate (not a copy from the hospital); and your child’s shot records and two proofs of residency.

Both schools encourage parents to share this information with others who have children who are eligible to enroll in kindergarten.
