Greencastle woman dies after being struck by car in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla — A 37-year-old Greencastle woman died Saturday after being struck by a car while trying to cross a Florida street.

Citing the Florida Highway Patrol, WESH 2 in Orlando reports that the woman, who was not identified by name, was trying to cross International Drive in Orlando just after 8 p.m. when she was struck by a 2001 Honda Civic while in a crosswalk.

Police said the driver had a green light and the woman failed to yield to the car.

She later died from her injuries at Dr. Phillips Hospital in Orlando.

The 19-year-old driver was not injured.
