She told Deputy Tanner Brown that she applied her brakes and lost control on the gravel. The vehicle left the road and hit the cable on a utility pole, causing it to barrel roll half a turn.

The vehicle was towed. Brown estimated damage at $10,000-$25,000.

• At 9:09 a.m. on Saturday, Donald W. Smith, 84, Fillmore, was eastbound on County Road 400 South approaching the stop sign at County Road 925 East in a 2018 Ford F-150. Albert Parrish, 58 Martinsville, was northbound on 925 East on a 2013 Case IH 3030.

Smith told Deputy Brown he stopped at the stop sign and looked both ways, not seeing anything. In doing so, he ran into the side of Parrish’s tractor.

Parrish, who did not have a stop sign, said he saw Smith approaching the intersection and slowing, but that he did not make a complete stop before proceeding into the intersection.

A witness said that Smith came to a complete stop, but still proceeded into the intersection and hit Parrish’s tractor.

The pickup had to be towed. Brown estimated damage at $25,000-$50,000.

• At 8:44 a.m. on Saturday, Derrik Patterson, 32, Greencastle, was southbound on U.S. 231 in a 2022 GMC Sierra when something suddenly made contact with the front of his truck.

Williams told Cpl. Scott Ducker that Johnson tried to pass him and then pulled back into the lane, striking his own car.

Ducker estimated damage at $5,000-$10,000.

Hunter told Ducker he was traveling at 59 mph, but the speed limit is 50.

Both vehicles were towed. Ducker listed improper passing and unsafe speed by Hunter among contributing factors.

Both vehicles were towed. Ducker estimated damage at $10,000-$25,000.
